Though I would have thought that the seller would put a bit more effort into presenting and selling the gun in the first place but that is just my HO.

Possibilities include:

He's a new seller, and may not know how to post a better ad.

He doesn't know much about the gun himself.

The less he puts in the description, the less he has to explain if there is a problem with the gun.

Never believe what a seller says, and be wary of what he doesn't say!



The rifle is a little rough on the forend wood, but seem solid and it has a deeley latch, and the barrels are shoelump. I cant see the front sight but the rear sight has a standing and two flip-ups, and the barrels seem tight on face but that is hard to tell from a picture. The b utt wood seems solid and the recoil pad looks good. No mention of ejector or extractor, or how the strikers are fixed in the standing breech.

I would say that if the rifle is tight on face, and the bore is clean and shiny with no pitting the rifle is worth looking at first hand especially the proof marks. 15K is enough so that some real looking over is indicated!
