Angus MorrisonBison with double rifle
Good stuff Don, a self built rifle beats the finest English best for pride of ownership and use. I have both and doesn't matter if H&H does it better than I do, I like mine.
Doubles are perfect for wild Canadian Bison,
I used my Merkel on this one a couple years ago. The rifle is 3 1/2 feet long as a yardstick, the big old bulls easily pass 2,000lbs, and the brutes pass 2,500. Despite trying hard to get charged in Africa on several hunts the only things that have charged made a proper charge on me are Grizzlies and one pissed off Bison.
