Heym shoot this weekend
I look foward to meeting any of uns that will be attending the Heym Shoot. Sadly, for unforeseen reasons I will be driving in and will most likely not make Friday diner.

I will be the young guy with the hat. I fully expect to make a safe, but none the less fool of myself.

I have felt the same way for years--as to my shooting ability. Now, with my 4-bore, I needn't worry. My double Hughes 4 shoots a one shot group of one inch and ANY distance! Damn impressive accuracy even if I have to state it my self.

Have fun at the shoot.
You guys should invite Shootaway.
Cal

Thanks to Chris, assisted by Tony and Ed among others, in putting on the event this weekend in Dallas. The weather cooperated and a good time was had by all. Also good to see the Safari Classics team, Tim and Dave, at the event. One of the highlights for me was seeing the number of younger guys at the event. Not only is it great to see a new generation of double rifle aficionados coming out but their enthusiasm is infectious as well. Nice to see old friends and make new acquaintances. Well done to the Heym team!

Mike, thank you for posting your pictures.

It was good to see you;
as well as, Mark and some of the other "old heads",
likewise it was nice to see the "young turks" show up in good numbers.

Relatively certain , there will be more posted as the next few weeks pass.

The Safari Classics crew is still working with the stills and videos.

Chris, Tony and I have a Texas panhandle antelope hunt coming up at the end of the week,
and several other projects this week before we depart.

Thank you to Heym USA for hosting this event.
Thank you Mr. Colla for letting me shoot your 375FL.
Thank you Mr. Jines for letting my hold your Dominion H and H.
The best part were getting to put names to faces and stories told and heard
The double shoot was won by another "young terk" with a WEbley and Scott screw grib boxlock that was built for Manton. It has the case and is Chambered in 360 no2 it has a fair amount of tasteful, gold leaf and scroll on the action. The rifle is illustrated in he 1925 Webly catalog according to the Heym historian. The best part is the rifle is for sale. Mr. Cola or Mr. Sells can get anyone interested in contact with the owner. This rifle shots well; even I can shoot it well.

We drove 24hrs total to get their and back. I can't wait to do it again.

I have been on the road since the Heym shoot and just now back in touch with the world. I want to give a big THANK YOU!!! to Chris, Tony, Doc and Dave for the great Texas Hospitality!! Shooting the 450 NE in the little competition we had was great fun. Learning how to shoot a double was even more fun. Also was very nice to meet some of the folks that I have met on Accurate Reloading, and all the other folks also. Now, which one to buy?

Good to hear you enjoyed the event.
We are starting to plan for next year, perhaps I might even have the shoot house roof on by then. Roll Eyes

That 450NE shoots well doesn't it.
The 450-400 is hard to beat for an all-around.
Did you get to shoot my 375 Flanged with the Claw mount scope?

So yes indeed which caliber?
Have fun deciding.

Mr. Impala: congratulations on taking second. Like I said, it was worth every mile getting to put faces to names. Hope we get to do it again. Good hunting. I will bring the bbq pit for the hogs that trotted across the range.
