Soft case for back of truck

CCMDocSoft case for back of truck
Did a search about what to use for a quality double en route to safari then bouncing around on the back of the Cruiser while on safari.
I have a pair of full-length Tuffpaks and have used them with my bolt guns in thickly padded nylon soft cases with good effect, then used the same cases in the rack on the truck.
Having read the posts when i did the search, some of the suggested cases have rounded or square ends so that the barrels of a SxS DR won't try to twist the rifle as it sits in the case.
I was thinking about one of these sleeves rather than a traditional zip-up case:
Boyt Heritage Series leather gun sleeveKinda pricy as is something similar from another manufacturer but if it's worth it, then it's worth it.
Any well-padded canvas or nylon soft cases with round or square ends?
Thanks

I use the Red Oxx Flat Dog gun slip. No extreme padding, but never received a dent or ding (due to the slip) on a gun in 5 safaris. No zippers. Suggest you might buy 2 in different colors. Much easier to identify which slip holds which gun. For air travel I put the guns in gun slips, then lash each down in my Americase.

BEGNODitto Don,
I bought my first Red Oxx last year used it in Zim. The only mistake I made was not buying two. I will remedy that before I leave for Zim this year. They don't take much space in luggage and are very protective. Very handy and very well made.

tetonkaI too use the Red OXX gun slip for my K-gun
450/400 NE 3in. DR. Has stood up well except for one bullet hole, NOT Mine. The game scout
decided to clean his AK-47 while on the back of the truck and my double was in the rack on the vehicle. His gun went off, he didn't hit anyone thankfully. But the bullet from his gun went through the flap of my gun case without hitting my gun. Small blessing. The PH was so pissed that he took the magazine and ammo away from the scout.
Good traveling and good hunting.

CCMDocQuite an array of colors.
Was thinking I'd get one yellow and one red but then thought - "maybe I should go with traditional safari khaki and olive" instead.
I like the idea of easily identifyable colors but maybe my PH will take umbrage with the yellow and red

There's a gun slip there? I am having trouble seeing past that magnificent tabby in the foreground.

<generalwar>I bought a few from Mark Sullivan long ago, they have held up very well. They are manufactured with lots of protection in the right areas and very thick materials are utilized. They are made to Sullivan's specifications by Galco.
www.nitroexpresssafaris.comNever tried Texas Hunt Co. rigs but if its made like there backpack and PH belt its got to be top notch as well.

MJinesAnother vote for the Red Oxx Flat Dog. They work great, pack easily and afford good protection in the gun rack.
