400 Nitro ExpressThe .488" 500 grain is for the .475 No. 2 Jeffery. Excepting a handful of single shots, the only rifles I know of in this chambering are doubles, and that bullet isn't suitable for doubles. That's why they're so cheap.

analog_peninsulaI know of the double hard mono-metal issue; I assumed someone might have a rifle which could shoot these safely. They were asking $10 for a box of 20 bullets, which is about as cheap as you're going to find this stuff.
Anyway, I thought that I'd post the info.
