Here's a question for my fellow Canucks on this board...what's a good source in Canada for used doubles? Any dealers or perhaps auction/classifieds websites?

I recall visiting precision arms in Ontario a few mnths ago ran by a nice fellow from Kent !

He deals in doubkes and had quite a few second hand Ones in stock

Are you looking for double rifles, double shotguns, or both? Besides the retailers mentioned, you can find a few good ones at the gun shows in Ancaster, Orangeville, Pickering, and Woodstock.

Thanks guys. I'm familiar with all of those sources. As for those local guns shows, you really think I might find a used .470 NE (Chapuis, VC, Searcy, Heym, K-gun) at one of those shows?

Check the website of TRADEX in Montreal. Tony usually has a number of nice used and new double rifles listed at fairly attractive prices.

ron vella: I am familiar with Tradex as well. I don't see anything used on the website at present. I think they will be at HuntFest Orangeville next month and hopefully they'll have a toy or two there that I can fondle and drool over.

If you're ever at the gun show in Orangeville, Woodstock, or Pickering, stop by my tables and introduce yourself. I always have two tables, covered in a green cloth, with 5 or 6 double rifles on display. It's the only display of its kind at those shows so I'm easy to find.

I was at the Huntfest show in Orangeville today, and TradeEx had a booth where they were showing a delightful selection of doubles, probably a dozen or more in all. The show runs tomorrow (Sunday the 24th) as well...if you are convenient to the location, you will enjoy what you see there.
