Austin HunterRifle Identification
Can someone identify this rifle and value at the link below? It belongs to a friend. His dad brought it back during WWII from Germany.

igorrockThe most important picture is missing. Take a foto from the flat bottom of the barrels. There are the stamps whose tell all the important acquirements of that gun.
Christopher Funk was quite famous gunmaker fronm Suhl, Germany.

MacD37I agree with igorrock, the maker's name is very clear, but says noting about the rifle, other than who made it. Christopher Funk was a good maker, but the engraver should have been put in front of a wall and shot with that rifle.
This rifle could be salvaged, with as lot of expensive work, if the bores are worth anything, but something must be done quickly. There is live rust working on this rifle as we speak, and must be stopped!
We need the proof marks, and other info on the bottom of the barrel flats, and any stampings on the barrels under the forearm!

Austin HunterThanks!! I sent the notes to my friend and asked for more pics. I work with him, but he lives in CA, I in TX. I honestly think this is the only rifle he owns - so this is new to him. Thanks again!
PS: He might be leaving for a business trip today, so it may be a week or so before I can get more pics from him.
