AkshooterI have a d'schulnigg bolt rifle. I don't think they ever was a gun maker but instead a show room and dealer from saltzburg. They probably sold guns from any number of ferlach makers under there name. I'm not sure about that though. It is possible that they made all of there guns in house.

BFJ, as I said in the other string, the words
"WAFFEN D'Schulnigg" means
"MADE BY D'SCHULNIGG"! The rifle on Hallowell is a 470NE D'Schulnigg double rifle! Nice one too!

D'Schulnigg is a proper name in German, as in most likely someone's last name.
To translate this to Engligh, it would be:
"D'Schulnigg's Weapons."
Waffe in German is "weapon";
Waffen is "weapons".
I.e., Luftwaffe = "air weapon"

BigFiveJack & all,
Seems to me that Dschulnigg (that is the correct spelling) was (?) a gunsmith in Salzburg, Austria (most probably with an education background from Ferlach).
Today there is a hunting and outdoor equipment wholesaler/dealer (see
http://www.Dschulnigg.at) under this name, maybe a successor or relative of the guy.
Cheers & greetings from Austria,

Greeting from the USA!
Wife is Austrian, from Steirmark, due south of Graz in a little town called Stainz, close to Deutschlandsburg.
Have been to Austria numerous times and love the country. Miss the Radlers though and most of the food and Goesser bier!!!!
