BiebsWhere's Larry (ELK88101)??? He'd sell his house to buy this thing. Does it have blue neons in the chambers? If not, he'd add them :-)
24 December 2013, 02:40
SnowwolfeI would bet whomever buys this rifle never shoots it.
Gaudy, yes. Over the top? Absolutely. No matter how much money I had I could never buy it but it is still fascinating to look at.
My biggest fear is when I die my wife will sell my guns for what I told her they cost.

Todd WilliamsLooks like Westley Richards is getting Blaser to do their bling these days!

ZephyrPurdy once did a "Dallas" shotgun with faces from the whole cast of the TV show Dallas done in Bulino engraving.
I'm sure one of you Texas boys has it hidden in a closet some where.
Bye the way who did shoot that guy
24 December 2013, 03:15

Rhyme of the Sheep Hunter
May fordings never be too deep, And alders not too thick; May rock slides never be too steep And ridges not too slick.
And may your bullets shoot as swell As Fred Bear's arrow's flew; And may your nose work just as well As Jack O'Connor's too.
May winds be never at your tail When stalking down the steep; May bears be never on your trail When packing out your sheep.
May the hundred pounds upon you Not make you break or trip; And may the plane in which you flew Await you at the strip.

RIPThe "Africa Rifle" will no doubt have Tanzanite jewels instead of ruby.
My tastes will diverge significantly from that rifle also. Yes, I like that line too.

cal pappasThere is an unseen line dividing art and rifle. Whilst unbelievable in workmanship and quality it is beyond by comprehension to appreciate this rifle. I felt this when I handled the "last .600". This rifle has been written of as the finest Holland had produced up to that date (1975) but to me it was overkill. The owner's other .600 Royal ejector was far superior. The piece in question here should hand on a museum of art's wall as it too ostentatious to be at the range or shooting grounds.

jens poulsenWork of art and craftmanship braced in one.
However I would rather have seen a borerfle as a true "indian" doublegun. Elephants and Gaur most be "bored" as I see it

Aaron LittleThats a little much for me. As for the fit and finish of the rifle I dare say it matches any level of craftsmanship from any era. The engraver also did an outstanding job.
The only things its missing is Gene Simmons eating a Buffalo...
25 December 2013, 02:24
pagosawingnutI'm so not biting, Todd.
That rifle is seriously "gaudy".
25 December 2013, 02:58
JDA-CODang… That would go good with the gold medallion and large finger rings I wear while hunting...
25 December 2013, 03:12
pagosawingnutYou'd have to wear your cap backwards tho

JCS271That would be fun to own and just use it as your everyday truck gun. The perfect blend of master craftsmanship and "my god that is hideous". Of course it really would need a slip on recoil pad before it was actually ready to hunt with!

Idaho SharpshooterI could absolutely find room at my house for this rifle. Absolutely.
The only issue is that, to purchase it, I would need to sell my house.
