470EDDYNew Westley Richards 200th Anniversary Book
Westley Richards has recently released their book celebrating the Company 200th Anniversary: "WESTLEY RICHARDS & CO. IN PURSUIT of THE BEST GUN, 1812-2012"
I just received my copy last week and I am absolutely blown away by the quality and content of this fine book!!....it has huge "plop factor"...full coffee table size and printed on brochure quality paper...must weigh in at 10-12 LBS!!
The content is spectcular, 2 forwards including Simon Clode, present family member and managing director, history of Company and people, articles on clients and collectors using these guns, patents, Royal warrants, and even serial number ranges. The photography is spectacular!!
This is a book that every interested double owner, collector, or wannabe will want to have in their libraries!!
I am told that Simon Clode was autographing books at SCI...I was so lucky to have pre-ordered one of these from Bozeman store before the convention!!
I am impressed...I think you will too!!
NOW, I am sure this book will drive the interest and perhaps prices of W-R's in the future!!

470EDDY*Mike-the book pretty well starts at the beginnings in 1812 and moves forward with not only verbal coverage but excellent photos. I am not familiar with the specific guns you are speaking of...unless these are th Martini and take off's of those, yes, those are covered. I think you will be impressed with the broad coverage...
*Bwana-I think the only place the book can be ordered is from Westley Richards directly either in Bozeman Montana, or Birmingham. Just Google the company and their website somes up and you can choose between the two locations.
If you want an autographed copy you may have to order from UK...but perhpas Simon will be sending cases to Bozeman that are autographed as well...best to ask.
Cheers

Mike BaileyPersonally I was a bit disappointed, it is worth it for the photos as they are superb but I would have liked more research and history. As a whole it reads like an advert instead of a history. IMO the definitive book on Westley has yet to be written, best, Mike

470EDDYMike Bailey- in my opinion if it gets too deep it gets boring and I just scan...same if it gets too techy, I am not an engineer...I LIKE IT!!...it is well OVER 300 pages of great stuff!!
Idaho- WR Bozeman is $145 plus shipping in US $15, total $160.
