My nearly three year effort to export the captioned double rifle may be approaching a conclusion.

But I am informed by the intended recipient that his importing authorities need three "quotations" as to the value of the rifle for VAT assessment purposes.

Original cost of the rifle was $11K, which I am assuming is still close to the mark.

I would be grateful for any suggestions anyone may have regarding a source for such quotations. I would imagine that they would have to come from knowledgeable dealers, but I confess that I don't know much about who is selling such rifles these days.

Cabelas sell Chapuis DR's, they will also quote you a used price or new price, but you probably have to bring the rifle in for look see.
