New HEYM frame size (470 & 500)

new_guyNew HEYM frame size (470 & 500)
Here is the new large frame for 470 & 500.
This is our 5th frame size for double rifles, and the larger for the 470 and 500.
I'm a little biased of course, but the size and weight are just about perfect to me. If it's the "British-rifle" feeling you're looking for in a 470, then this is it.
We'll have a 470 and 500 both in at DSC and SCI.
Hope to see you next week.

N E 450 No2This new larger frame size is the best handling Heym 88B, I have ever seen.
It feels more "British" than a lot of British doubles.

What sort of price premium will this new action have over what's currently listed on your webpage?

At this time, there is no extra cost for the larger action.
Weight wise, I did not have a chance to weigh it before we boxed it up for the show. We will have a scale there, so I can give you an exact number next week.
I would say that it's right at 11 pounds in the 470, but it
feels lighter than that.

new_guyWe set up at DSC today and weighed the new large-frame 470 pictured above (it was on top of the pile), and it weighed 11 pounds, 1 ounce.
Will weigh the 500 on Thursday after we dig everything out for display and post an update.

new_guyDon't worry, Will. There's still a small frame available for you.
We've got 5 different frame sizes to suit almost every request.

BiebsWill, they make a Titanium version with thin wall barrels that comes in at a bit over 4 1/2 lbs in 577 :-)

Todd WilliamsI handled this rifle today. It is SWEET to say the least! A very nice rifle indeed.

new_guyThanks, Todd. Good to see you.
Several AR members have dropped by the booth and all comments have been extremely positive for this new frame size.

sroseThey got this one right for sure. It actually felt lighter than the smaller frame gun because of balance. Beautiful gun!

new_guyOf course I'm a little biased, but it really does have that magic feel.
Here is a side-by-side comparison of the regular frame on the left, and the new, larger frame on the right.
Both rifles are chambered in 470.
