Merkel .500 NE exact bore diameter

Does any one know or know where to find out the exact bore diameter of the Merkel 140-2 .500 NE double rifle??? Or will I have to slug mine?

Lane,

If you don't slug yours yourself, I would suggest contacting Merkel dirrectly. When I had, they responded rather promptly. If I can find the email address I used I will send it to you.

I am going to hunt with North Fork Flat Nose Solids and probably nothing else...at least for ele anyway.

And now I just inherited a bunch of Woodleigh 450 gr bullets for plinking.

But I want to try and find a cast load that will regulate...so I wanted to know exactly the groove diameter.

Going to try and shoot this thing a lot (if I am tough enough)...so...looking for a cheap bullet.
