10 bore Manton Video.

My friend Jacob wanted to try a real big bore so I loaded up a few rounds for the 10 bore.

Load: 10dram Swiss 1½Fg to a 985grain ball.
Velocity: aprox 1700 ft/sec.

It has been a few years agao since I have firerd that rifle and I had forgot how much a pack & whack this load does. It does get a little "bite" to the shoulder but nothing punishing. The rifle weighs 14ibs.

Thanks for this. It's great to see doubles in action and black powder adds to the experience. My only problem with the video is I could not quite understand the New York City accent!

BTW: i am always surprised to see how clean these barrels are after 2x2 shots. Nothing like a .32-40Winchester(whatta mess)...
