RockratTime to send the Sabatti back/advice needed
Have one of the 45-70 rifles. I didn't think it had been ground on, but took it out to the range today. 50 yds, about 4" apart, but 100 said a different story. Left barrel center of target, right barrel, bottom of target if not under target.
Haven't shot it much since I bought it, but have an Elk tag for next month and was thinking of using it. Figured I better do some more work with it and put it thru it paces.
Brought it home and got out my Starrett small hole guages and ran in the muzzle. Left barrel seemed OK, Right barrel, guage would wobble about the last 3/8" of the muzzle. Took a powerful flashlight and looked and sure enough, looks to have been ground on from about 8 o'clock to 10 o'clock.
Got the gun from the Sidney store IIRC, any certain person I need to talk to about returning it? Thanks
Thought I had a good one, but looks like I was wrong.

Nemo .450I've been in much the same situation.
Try to talk with the Gun Library Manager if the store you got it from.
If he doesn't help you out, send me a PM and I'll put you on the trail of someone who will.

coyote wackerTalk to the gun Library Mananger, his question will be what do you want to do. My advise is take a refund and chalk it up to a learning. That's what I did with my Sabitti. If you have any of your targets, I would take them with you. I hope you were shooting ammo that the gun was regulated with, bring that to show them also.
If you have any problems PM me.
Good Luck Craig
