Another question about mounting sights

Another question about mounting sights
1) The advantages and disadvantes of pivot mounts and claw mounts, and

2) scopes with a rail on them for a double rifle?

I'm trying to get it right the 1st time as these things aren't inexpensive.

NE450#2 uses a pivot mount on his Chapuis and is very happy with it!
