8 lb. 450 #2
8 lb. 450 #2
The guys test-fired the 7.8 lb. 450 #2 SxS today. Sweet.

Adding the ribs, sights, etc. will push it to a bit over 8 lbs. but livable. More later!
I can see a 7 lb. 450/400 in the future!

465H&HBill,
Reread what your father said about rifles that were too light for their caliber.

surestrikeWill,
What has got you so fired up about doubles lately? I thought that you were a confirmed double hating, double trashing, bolt guy.

You betcha. But I am two-trigger challenged. Why fight it?

surestrikeSo it's not trigger envy then. But a clear case of barrel envy?

I guess I missed out on the earlier stuff about this light weight rifle. What is it being built on?
I'm going to wait unitl its done before serving up details. Hopefully in a month or so.

Charles_HelmHow hard is it going to be to convert it to double triggers when you get tired of it and sell it?
Seriously -- glad to hear it is coming together.

AtkinsonWilbur,
You keep shooting those light weight doubles and you will be back to shooting bolt guns before you know it, but your lisp will undoubtably be worse than ever!!!
