MJinesCordite Conversions
I stumbled upon this chart in African Dangerous Game Cartridges by Pierre van der Walt today (pg. 221). The chart does not have attribution so I cannot cite a source for or vouch for the chart's origin. I have seen the conversion ratio for RL15 before and it was as listed below (I believe that was in a Ross Seyfried article), but had not seen conversion factors for other powders.
IMR7828 = 1.40
RL22 = 1.37
S-385 = 1.35
IMR4831 = 1.33
IMR4350 = 1.25
S-365 = 1.24
RL15 = 1.19
S-355 = 1.17
Useful information for developing regulating loads for older rifles with modern powders.

cal pappasValuable info. Thanks, Mike.
I needed the Somchem conversions!
Cal
PS. I've been working on a conversion from Black to Blue Dot for the bore rifles. I believe it is in my new book and I will be fine tuning it this coming shooting season.

MJinesWell damn, I must have missed that. I know he talks about the RL15 conversion factor in his book, but I did not recall seeing the factors listed for other powders. Where is it in the 3rd Edition?
