Ozhunter,
Congratulations. I think that is a beautiful rifle.

It finally showed up, eh? Too cute. Should have fun with it.

Any idea what it weighs? I especially like the shape of the grip. Searcy has done a good job of that.

Very nice. Did Butch put that front sight on the rifle or was that something you changed out?

Congratulations OZhunter, that is a beautiful rifle, and in one of the best all-around chamberings one could choose!

Butch is putting together some very nice rifles lately. They have always been "GOOD" and very accurate double rifles, though a little rough around the edges in some cases. Like any product that has enough quality/dependability to live a long life, just naturally tends to improve over time. The above rifle is a perfect example of that fact. This is a rifle that you can leave to generations down the line, and with proper care, and feeding, will out last your grand childern.

..........Again, CONGRATULATIONS SIR! beer

Jealous much. Great looking wood on the stock, and I agree with Will that the fore end grip does look a bit more classic. Congrats.

Come on Ozzie. We all know you are lapping up this adoration. What does it weigh? What is the twist rate? .410 bore?

Sorry guys,
I really don't have the proper equipment to answer your questions but with the rifle, butch sent some info for it.
He states this rifle is 9 3/4lbs, the rgulated load and velocity, what the best method of resting it for testing , cleaning it, storing it and provided a table on recoil energy.
He confirmed that the 450/400 3" rifles will be on .411cal.
The fiber fore sight is one type he offers along with standard beads but I'm not sure if they offer a standard bead with a pop up white moon sight?

***Just ran a patch down the barrel and it seems to have a one in 16inch twist.

I will be taking the rifle and crono to the range this Sunday and will report what is found.
Cheers,
Ad
