Beautiful rifle, for sure. Wood and engraving are quite nice. Price being so reasonable makes me wonder just a bit. Can't find any information on their boxlock action, other than it's a boxlock. Don't know what frame it's on. Weight is 9.9#, which seems a little light. But I have no experience with anything other than Chapuis doubles, so I don't offer any hands on perspective. Does look very interesting !!

Interesting. I’ve been pondering getting another double for a while now, as I sold a Rigby in 470 NE about 30 years ago and haven’t had one since. I’ve been leaning toward a Chapuis or Verney Carron, but want to look at other makes while at SCI in January. I think this Rizzini is definitely worth getting to know more about, as it’s an interesting double. I already decided my next double will be another 470, just have to figure out which make now.

Thanks for posting this video.

Hi DLS,
Yes, I found it interesting that a gunmaker bringing a new offering to the market would decide on a double rifle. Actually, beyond shooting a double or two I don't own any and am pretty much a magazine rifle guy and for reasons I can't explain this video intrigued me. I was viewing it and thinking "ahhh, it's not worth watching" but I couldn't stop myself. Maybe the elephant hunt kept me glued to the screen.
I don't know if I would ever want or buy a double but would sure be happy to look over a Rizzini if I ever had the chance.

I've owned many different brands of doubles and I would highly suggest buying a Heym if you want a double that shoot well and is of very high quality. You can probably find a used Heym for not a lot more than what these Rizzini guns are going for. The Rizzini looks like it's a step above a Sabbati but not as nice as a Merkel. Merkel would be my only choice below a Heym.

Sam, I'd add Verney Carron to that list. The three I've owned were great.

Agree with Biebs.

I currently own four.

.500 NE, .450/.400 3" NE, .375 H&H flanged magnum and 7x57R (aka .275 Rigby). All bases covered. All outstanding doubles made during the Jerome era which was the best IMHO.

Maybe there are issues to be aware of ? Or, at least, some user experiences to consider.
