Nice rifle! There are a bunch of great makers from Ferlach...Sodia, Winkler, Hambrusch, Springer, Fanzoj, Borovnik, Michaelitsch. I've had DRs from a few of them, and magazine rifles from others.

If you Google "Michelitsch Firearms", you'll see an assortment of them listed on various websites, forums, etc. You'd probably never find a Ferlach gun without engraving. If anything, Ferlach makers on occasion "over-decorate" their pieces. I remember reading about one exquisite Ferlach DR where the maker refused to checker the stock, as it would detract from the beauty of the wood. Form follows function...except in Ferlach!!!

Former gunsmith cooperative has 881 000 € debt
Ferlacher weapons production technology WPP is bankrupt

The company should be liquidated.

The long arms of the Carinthian gunsmith Center Ferlach are popular with huntsmen. But the rifles and shotguns with arabesques and shafts made of root wood have their price. So taste the deluxe version of Bockbüchsflinte "Karawanken" from the home of "Ferlacher weapons Precision Engineering Produktions GmbH & Co KG" (Ferlacher WPP) around 6500 €, the Bergstutzen "Carinthia" comes to 7700 €, while the walnut supplement (shaft) from 1350 € not included.

But with the arms deal is now final. According to Gerhard Weinhofer of Creditreform Ferlacher WPP has declared bankruptcy.

"Because of the disagreement between the shareholders and the absence of key employees within the cancellation of the company is planned," says the brief filed for insolvency. Eleven gunsmiths hold shares in WPP Ferlacher, but managed to end August was not supposed to raise additional capital from shareholders.

According to Creditreform, the WPP Ferlacher in 2009/10 approximately 1.392 million € and 140,000 € realized loss posted. The estimated liabilities Creditreform 881 000 €, of which almost 200,000 euro for a regional public bank. The assets amount to € 392 000.

Partner of Ferlacher WPPP GmbH & Co KG is the Ferlacher precision weapons production technology GmbH, is whose assets have also been opened on Wednesday, a bankruptcy procedure.
