reddy375In my rifle i use 72 grains of IMR 4350 with a 300 grain woodleigh bullet. I tried the hornady 300 grain bullets and it shot all over the place. So bullet is important for accuracy...welcome to the world of double rifles!

enyI shoot the old hornady 300 grn in mine with 58 grn RL15. Mid 2300 rt barrel, low 2300 lft barrel. Very accurate but didn't regulate too well. 4" apart at 50 yards. Woodleigh book goes to 66 grn for RL15 to reach those velocities with their 300 grn soft.

470EDDYYou should purchase a copy of WOODLEIGH Bullets Handloading Book by Geoff McDonald, owner of Woodleigh, and Graeme Wright, the author of Shooting The British Double Rifle...3 editions and #4 coming soon.
This book is available thru Midway USA, or directly from Geoff at Woodleigh... they have cases to sell... I got them cut loose from his old agent 2 years ago and most were shipped to OZ!!
Great Book... I use it with all of my Doubles!

farbedo85gr Ramshot Magnum, 300gr PPU RNSP, Norma Brass, Rem 9 1/2 primer leaves my 23" barrels at 2450 on the nose and is very accurate. This is in a Valmet converted to .375 H&H Flanged.

Brian CanadaThe Sabatti S2 Big five got a bad rap from traditionalist. It has some very good innovative features in my opinion.
