RM00745-70 double from Jason Simkins
I am so happy

I picked up my newest toy from Jason Simpkins. Rebarreled baikal
16 gauge,.45-70, leupold 4x quick detach scope,
23 1/5 barrels adjustable front sight and 3 rear leaf sights. Since I wanted a shooter and do not want to reload regulated with
Leverevlotion hornady 325 grain bullets. Unbelievable five shots right barrel at 50 yrds
1 3/4 inch group with left barrel 2 inch group 3 inches left and slightly high,1/2 inch
4 1/5 inch group bouth barrels total 10 rounds 100 yrds. My new deer and black bear slayer. Tried remington 405 grain 6 inches high and 4 linhes left both barrels 2 1/4 group 50 yrds. I am very happy with everything Jason has done for me. I know this sounds like a shamless plug but for my first double I could not be happier. Would love a .470 nitro but with my new toy I will actually get to hunt with it.

kweberone of his rifles was done on a Stoeger action, he had nice things to say about it also. .405 Win would make a good bear, deer, pig, timber rifle also.

RojovinMichael: I am thinking of getting one of these in 45-70 I saw one of the Remington imports in 30/06 at a gun show in PA recently and was not impressed with the metal work and the wood. Wood to metal fit was also not too great. On the bright side a lot of folks are looking at the cost of a new finer off the rack guns at 20X the cost of these. How do you like the gun today after having it and shooting it for a while. Bob Studen

Congratulations on your new double rifle.
I think the 45/70 makes a GREAT North American double rifle.
Let us know what you hunt with it.
