Any Shared 600 NE Interest?

BigFiveJackAny Shared 600 NE Interest?
I am thinking of an idea. What if a small group, [say 5-7 guys]
started a non profit corporation in Stroudsburg, Pennsylvania,
the purpose being shared ownership of certain cool but very
impractical firearms, starting with a Ken Owen built 600 NE?
All details of how to schedule the rifle for use, just like the
guys in the airplane owners clubs do, [25 - 50 people owning 1
or 2 airplanes] can be worked out. We'ed buy insurance, have mon-
thly dues and so on. It would be doable I believe. A consultation
for an hour with a lawyer is in order I'd say. I'd say if you
live within 75 or 100 miles of the Route 80 crossing of the New
Jersey - Pennsylvania border this could be workable for you. PM
me if you want to be a part of the early discussions.

MississippianJack, I think its a cool idea. Good luck! No.1-I live a too far away, No. 2-I am following 500 grains advice-In the past he said if he had to choose between nice rifles or hunting Africa, he would hunt Africa. I am choosing Africa as well and planning for late Nov!

tomo577JACK, THERE SHOULD BE ENOUGH GUYS FROM CONNECTICUTT TO CENTER PA AND DOWN INTO MARYLAND & NORTHERN VA TO MAKE YOUR IDEA WORK
YOU'LL PROBABLY HAVE TO GO BEYOND A R HOWEVER.
I DON'T THINK YOU'LL GET THEM FROM HERE.
GO FOR IT, TOM

True, but as you see I have emphasized the word "best".
I don't have
ANY access to a 600 NE DR right now, and don't
expect any to materialize soon. I have interest in such access,
and in other costly rifles too. If I can incorporate a "museum"
or other type of organization, and get what I want from the
deal, that being the opportunity to shoot more cool guns, I
think it's worth looking into. The stock holders would own por-
tions of a corporation that had firearms as it's assets.

500grainsJack, I'm just joking with you. I owned a .600 NE and I think it rattled my inner ears loose because before I bought it I never got seasick, but after I shot it for a few months I found that the least turbulence on an airplane made me seasick. And of course each shot felt like I was in an auto accident.
When you guys get your .600 NE and find that it is a gentle giant, please feel free to post about how wimpy I am.

I took no offence Dan.

I wish
MISSISSIPPIAN lived closer to me. Maybe he
and I could get this idea off the ground together.

MississippianA short time ago there was a Ken Owen 600NE about 40 miles up the road from me at Thad Scott's. He doesnt have regular business hours any more so its appointment only. That would be a good start for your collection!

This quote from 500 Grains is one of the best descriptions of excessive recoil I've ever had the pleasure to LMAO to while snorting coffee all over my keyboard.

JPKNo, I must be a recoil sissy since I think car wrecks and train wrecks should be frequently avoided.

505EDI'll tell you it will not work. I've been in a flying club and the retired f*ckers end up using it more than the rest. True they pay more but they set around seeing when they could use it, and screw with everyones day.
I'm for it if we could keep it in San Antonio!
See what I mean.
