RiodotIs this a good price? 9.3x74R
I when over to the new Cabelas in Glendale AZ yesterday, and saw a used Tristar O/U 9.3x74R with 22" barrels in their Gun Library.
It has good lookin' wood on it.
Thay are asking $1799.00
I am not in the market for one at this time, I'm just curious - is it a good price?

Woodrow STypically, anything in any of the gun libraries is full priced...no bargains there. They do their research on what they have so there are no "mistakes" that a guy can take advantage of. The good thing about their library is that it exposes you to guns you would otherwise never get a chance to purchase. Its great for dreaming also...eye candy.

400 Nitro ExpressThe opposite is true. It's true that most of the DRs there are overpriced, but isn't because they're well informed and aggressive. They just put a big price on 'em and throw it against the wall to see what sticks. In order to "research" what they have to avoid "mistakes", they'd have to have someone who is expert on double rifles. For what they pay, absent blind luck, that will never happen. These guys are clueless. As a result, you sometimes find nice DRs that are way underpriced there. This is especially true of the British guns. A friend bought a really nice one from them well under market a while back.
