Gentlemen..Truman Fowler was Elmer Keiths publisher..

I remember reading about an elephant hunt they did together along Galana river in Kenya, 1969-70..(Guns & Ammo mag.).

There was a pic of Trumans rifle...a sidelocked Charles Lancaster in .577NE, nicely scroll engraved..

Do anyone know what happened to that rifle...and its whereabouts..??

I wonder how many doubles C.L. made in the large calibers (they offered rifles up to and including .600NE in their 1914 catalouge..).

Fowler died in 1981...someone stated that James D. Julia sold off some of his rifles after his death...anyone..??

If anyone knows it would be Bill Jones! He collects doubles owned by famous people!
