Michael RobinsonAluminum Fitted Double Rifle Cases
Since Americase stopped making gun and rifle cases, I have been unable to find another source of alumininum, fitted cases for rifles, and particularly double rifles.
I know oak and leather are traditional, but that tradition started before modern day airline "baggage handlers" came along. I shudder to think what they would do to a fine oak and leather case.
Has anyone found a source for a well-made, Willesden-styled aluminum case?

JPetroniMike,
Not aluminum, however another option would be Negrini cases. Quite a few high end manufacturers use these. Not sure if they do custom layouts though. Just a thought.

crsheltonSKB offers both aluminum framed travel cases and padded slip on cases. I have both for my doubles and like them.

Michael RobinsonThanks.
I like that hard core 0.080 inch thick aluminum. With welded seams and corners.
Apparently, everyone else likes Pelicans.

JPetroniPelicans are a great case as well as the Storm cases. I hear you you though. Nothing like a thick aluminum shell all welded seams and a nice custom interior. One should be confident in the case of choice as we have a significant investment inside.

Thanks for that link to Kalispell, I have been looking for the "Safari style" case that holds 3 weapns, for trips to my farm, and one day to Zimbabwe/ and or Namibia.

robncoloradoThe Kalispells are exactly like the old cabelas cases. I’ve had mine for 20 years and has held up exceptionally well.
