Anyone had any experience with one of these double rifles? I found one for sale and the asking price is $3500. From what I was told it was hardly ever shot and has dies and a box of shells included. Not sure if a scope mount is also included.

Always wanted one. In fact I still have an ad from GunList from Cape Outfitters when they were selling them. It's on the wall over my bench. The 'Express' model was $2095 and the 'Keyler' model was $1995. Still wouldn't mind having one. If I hadn't just bought a Merkel SxS I would be interested. $3500 seems a fair price if in good shape with dies.

I shoot a 9.3x74R Antonio Zoli. I use IMR 4064 powder and 270 Speers. The gun shoots 2-3 inch groups. I replaced the front site with a square gold bead and had express sights installed. I have the original mount and a 1x4 leupold scope. I have 60 rounds of new RWS brass and fired Norma brass. It is a good solid double and has nice wood. It has always worked perfect. I had it for sale for the whole package for $4500 but there was no interest so I am still using it. I have shot moose, deer and bears and it is a great killer. I hope this helps. If you would like some photos send a e-mail add.

tomo577,

Sorry for the late reply. But I never even had a chance to look at the rifle yet. I had to return to Hawaii for the winter and the guy selling it didn't get a chance to "dig it out" of one of his many safes. I told him I would be back in the spring to take a look at it.

I am reviving this thread to see if anyone new out there may have any other opinions on this rifle.

This is my advice regarding Zolis, test and test shoot them prior to a purchase.

They are semi decent, but suffer from so so QC and they have issues with backing up there products.

If ones gets a Zoli to ones liking, it´s great, they are workhorses, however I would stay clear of all the models with ejectors, they tend to break..

Best regards Chris.
