MikeBurkeDouble Rifle Fit
I have read many times how much difference the "fit" of a double rifle makes. I thought you guys were full of it and that fit would not make that much difference. Well the LOP on my K-Gun was too short. The first time at the range I shot it 15 times and it was all I could take. I added a Limbsaver slip on pad that gave me another 1" of pull. The next trip at the range consisted of 15 more shots. I could have easily shot it 100 times. There was a night and day difference in felt recoil. After the Shoot and Hoot it will go to JJ for stock work.

RustyGlad to hear that, Mike! Looking forward to seeing you in May!
Mike
I did some work on my 470, after the last shoot and hoot. I added 3/8" of lop, and sanded in some recoil relief, and adj the check piece. Riche's 550 was a lot less punshing than the stock merkel for me. 400 nitro showed me the stocks there that were of the correct shape,
I hope to be there, you can shoot my 470 to see if the changes I made will help you.
