standing rest photos
Got to run up to the range today and remembered the camera. Here is one rest that will raise up and down for standing and sitting. I forgot to bring the padded saddle for the top.

This clamp affair will work as a traveling rest as it'll clamp to trees or post. Just a simple bar clamp with a foam sleeve.

Mac....you're a dog....I'm a structural engineer and I wasn't going to touch that. That said, however, I hope he's not in a seismic zone! Eeker

A...I was holding the camera crooked
B...optical illusion because the trees grow at an angle on the south side.
C...after digging the second hole of solid rock with a slate bar, I threw the level over the mountain
Winkit's that dam ol photobucket program. I fixed it.

D....I hope you know we were just throwing a little levity your way. Plus, I agree, sometimes throwing a tool helps with the work....especially if it's over a mountain!

They're just jealous, Dale. None of Frank Lloyd Wright's work was plumb and true. Think about it!

I have been thinking about building a standing bench rest, you need the same table top as a sitting bench rest, just longer adjustable legs..Your half way there! wave

Why not just 3 legged shooting sticks?

Showbart,

not very steady if you are trying to do load work.
If a 3" magazine-full group at 50 yards is sufficient...then okay. Anything much better and you need the rifle to shoulder up and hang dead steady.
