I'm thinking of buying one to take to France for a chamois hunt- I'll be using one of my o/u rifles in .270 Win.

The take down Tuff-pak is perfect for double rifles! I have one and wouldn't take twice what I paid for it, and do without it!

Get the tuff sak and the lockable ammo box, and a break down soft case for your double as well! tu2

Yes I have one and I used it on my last trip to Zimbabwe. It worked great.

In fact I used it just today. I took it to my local gun club with an AR 15 and 2 handguns in it, as I knew I would be going to lunch with my buddy 400 Nitro, after we were dons shooting at the range.

I locked my guns in it, and then secured it inside the extended cab of my truck with a large steel cable, and a couple of good locks.

I use a Pelican 1650. It has 2 levels, so I can put my double in the bottom and a Blaser on top.
