H4350 and the 450NE 3.25"
My 404 found its new best friend...H4350. That being said, does anyone have any loads they care to share with the 480 gr bullets and H4350 in the 450 Nitros? I've been loading RL15 because my 470 shot well with it, and I was going to try the H4831 in the 450...but if I can keep it simple...

By the way, the 450 is a Heym...not a vintage gun.

Thanks.

Well.....I'm starting with 93 gr behind a 480 Woodleigh solid and 94 gr behind a 480 Woodleigh soft....we'll see how it goes.

Traditionally 4350 has been a selected powder for most of the double rifle big bores as it give a little less recoil for the same velocity or so they claim, I can't tell if it does..

Its a good powder but I don't see that its any better than IMR-4831, RL-15..If it shoots better in the gun would be my criteria on that one..

Thanks, Ray. I'm trying RL 15 (worked great with Kynoch foam in my 470), H4831 and H4350. I'm headed to the range in the next couple of days..nice weather in Florida for all the year...with a few load ranges of all 3 powders. I'll post what I discover for velocity and regulation.

Take care.
