Honey Badger Engraving
We see lots of elephants and buffalo engraved but not too many honey badgers.

As Marcus said on the Buffalo engraving, that's some nice scratching!!

It is a bit unusual to select a Honey Badger though isn't it. What's the rifle caliber Chris?

What caliber?

Honey Badger don’t give a damn! Would have to be in gold, if not small, engraved on the barrels. Luckily, someone has better taste than me.

Todd, you took the words out of my mouth.

I also wonder about the chambering considering the engraving. I suppose there isn’t a hard and fast rule that the art must be representative of the game intended, but it would seem fitting.

There has been a fully custom .300 H&H in the custom section here and the floor plate was left blank to later be engraved with the first African animal it takes.

Chris, well done again.

This was engraved on a 470.

It's the first engraved honey badger that I've seen, but I think it works. The client was quite pleased as well; that's what matters most.

I don't mind the badger engraving, but I think all the engraving should be the same type. Looks like a lower grade rifle and the animal was engraved later on.

Wonderful engraving and a superb out of the box choice for an animal to depict.

Makes more sense than the Italians who engrave only naked women on a hunting double rifle instead of animals.. The women need to be hunted with different type of GUN!

I think that the 470 is perfect for Honey Badgers but others say that they like the 500 for more stopping power.

Nice! tu2 For some, getting a honey badger has been multi safari effort! For others, not so lucky yet! Big Grin

The background is very well detailed, most game scenes have rudimentary backgrounds. And it's hard to engrave feet ... that's why most animal depiction hide the feet in vegetation. The engraver shows great skill and courage with this work.
