Greetings All, I have been following this formum for 2yrs,. just became member. I have loved Double rifles since I was a youngster. I bought a new Sabatti 9.3x74R in 2010. I returned it as defective for refund. Rifle would shoot 7in.apart, horizontal at 50 yards. Just bought another Double and shot it today. It has promise. Cheers!

Welcome aboard!
You are wise to get a double now. The single barrel thing is a passing fad, such as bell bottoms, disco, and the hula hoop. In a few years the bolt actions will follow disco and be just a fading memory and doubles will rule the earth.
Cheers,
Cal

Jerry MacyBaikal MP221, .45-70. I really would like a Merkel .500 NE ejector, African game engraving. Trouble is every time I have extra money I spend it on safari. So far have had great success using Ruger #1, .416 Rigby, but hope to carry a nice Double next. Baikal is for N. American woods hunting.

MacD37Welcome to AR Jerry, and Mike says to DRSS as well. You know of course that double rifles are addictive, so your new Biakal won't be your last double!

mdstewartWelcome to the double rifle craze. It's addictive and fun. No doubt my favorite type of gun to shoot, and I shoot all of them. I'm a Merkel fan and if you need insight on them you can pm me or ask MacD37, who also shoots them, as well as many others here. Welcome, and don't be a stranger.
