A Calcutta sporting goods retailer, not a gunmaker. They retailed sportings arms for a number of gunmakers. These typically carry the maker's name, such as W. J. Jeffery & Co., Westley Richards, Winchester, etc., plus the legend "made expressly for Lyon & Lyon, Calcutta". They also retailed guns and rifles under their own name that were made for them by others. The quality of those retailed under the Lyon & Lyon name is entirely dependent on that of the underlying trade maker, the identity of which is sometimes identifiable, and sometimes not.

Wasn't Frank Martinez' 450NE a Lyon & Lyon? He had it for sale here about 6 months ago.

On any of the older rifles from India, make sure you do a thorough inspection of the metalwork, inside and out. Back then before air conditioning and such modern amenities, these rifles were stored in the hot and humid climate of India, and many wear the pitting and bore corrosion to show it.
