Chris, that is some of the prettiest wood I've ever seen on a firearm. The grain is just stunning. And.....there IS nothing that can't be done with that combo...any continent, any game. VERY nice.

Many of you would be suprised at how well this "gun" handles with the 20ga shotgun barrels on it.

How about an estimate if I want to order one?

Awesome set - almost perfect for all hunting - except for a 7mm / 6.5 & .22 CF calibers but you would need a smaller frame & lighter rifle.

Yes the wood is nice but not the strongest grain for a 450NE IMHO. I prefer the "English" streaked walnut to the French" knotty wood.

Chris, what are the weights of each? Do they all balance on the hinge pin?

That has to be one of, if no the, nicest set of doubles yet! Beautiful wood.

Sexy looking gun! Why not a .300 H&H flanged?

May fordings never be too deep, And alders not too thick; May rock slides never be too steep And ridges not too slick.
And may your bullets shoot as swell As Fred Bear's arrow's flew; And may your nose work just as well As Jack O'Connor's too.

May the hundred pounds upon you Not make you break or trip; And may the plane in which you flew Await you at the strip.

The calibers were the customer’s choice.

300 Fl Mag is available, but he chose the Win Mag. I would assume because of ammo availability.

Chris: Are you suggesting that I cancel the order for the Deluxe .375 flanged and go with a multi-barrel setup? Just kidding.

While I like the idea of the multi-barrel setup... I'm not sure how the balance and feel would be the same across the calibers if you go with an action specified for the largest caliber. For example, say your largest caliber is .500 NE and the your smallest is .375 or 300 WinMag. The difference between the two action/frame sizes are too great to get the most out of the smallest from a balance and feel standpoint.

Am I missing something here?

With multiple calibers on one frame, there will always be some give and take...

having said that, all of our calibers (bore diameters) have a unique barrel contour, and alot of work is put into sizing them proportionally.

similar to the 375/20ga set, multiple barrel sets are really more about convenience and versatility while on safari.

It's not cheap, but it's not quite that bad either.

Very nice set…

I was thinking the ideal 4-barrel set would be:
12 gauge Paradox
450 Nitro Express
375 H&H Flanged Magnum
300 H&H Flanged Magnum

If one can afford to purchase this 4-barrel set one could certainly stock up on a 1,000 or so pieces of quality 300 and 375 H&H Flanged Magnum brass for each cartridge and have enough brass to last a lifetime, or more, should the brass become unavailable.
