Wannemakers - Oklahoma does it bigger than Texas !
Billed as the worlds largest gun show - 11 acres under one roof, the Tulsa Oklahoma gun show is this weekend.

Champlins has a large area and I am sure other AR members will have tables.

Into my heart on air that kills
From yon far country blows:
What are those blue remembered hills,
What spires, what farms are those?
That is the land of lost content,
I see it shining plain,
The happy highways where I went
And cannot come again.

Longest lines to get in I have ever seen.

Tables with clips or black rifle parts were swamped.

George (his back to camera) and Champlins tables

Lots of fun stuff to look at but prices were high.

I agree those were the longest lines I've seen in seventeen years. I bought a phantom pass on friday, lets you in on friday and at 7:30am Sat. and Sun.. Just walk in like the dealers, Friday was great only a few people. Only problem is the p-pass is 75 bucks, better than standing in line.

I wish you guys would start posting these threads two weeks before the event! I always forget about it(unorganized!) and then I read about it too late to go. I have always heard that it has to be seen to be believed. Houston never has any high grade rifles/shotguns anymore, just Remmy's and black guns! Lee.

Does anyone know what Primer availability and cost was at the Tulsa Show?

Not many primers seen and those that were on tables had price tags of $45 per 1000 and UP!

Needless to say, I didn't buy any as I have enough at home to hopefully outlive this madness.

My experience was like ChopperGuys.

There was a large area devoted to reloading supplies. There was also a large crowd there. I waited in one line for 15 minutes to buy some IMR 4831. They were sold out.

Everyone seemed to be stocking up against the possibility of not being able to buy the components they need for the future.

One did not have to wait long to hear the word Obama anywhere one went.

Well just a quick note on Tulsa gun show. I didn’t get around as much as I would have licked but did see some interesting guns. I thought you would like to see a couple of the better ones that Schwandt Classic Arms had on their table. I didn’t get pictures but found their website.

2 that I liked were a Rigby Rising Bite in 470 Nitro and a Holland & Holland 577 NE Regulated for 1oo Cordite - 750 Grain Bullet. A fun thing, on the tag on the H&H they had all the usual data but it had a space for “choke” I am happy to report it is choked Full&Full.

I hope we can plan ahead for the fall show and have a AR DRSS get together perhaps on Friday night.

I have tables there both shows each year. Would like to see a gathering of AR folks like the Reno show. Lots of goddies in Tulsa this year, lots of Winchester model 70's coming out of the woodwork. Prices were not too bad but definitely overstated considering the overall state of the economy. We did not see much in the way of traffic of folks selling stuff this trip. I think folks came to buy stuff more than to sell.
