Anyone have information on these doubles?

Are these the same as the Gasparini doubles imported in, I think, the sixties? I have owned three of these in the past. All sideplated boxlocks; nice but not high grade at all. Decent wood, decent workmanship, shot great and lightweight. I found a listing in an older Blue Book or somewhere which listed their total import as 250 guns. They had all the typical Italian markings. A few years ago (8-10) they were trading for around $250.

I bought the rifle today. It is a scalloped boxlock with case colored action with light scroll engraving. The 9.3X74R barrels measure 60 cm. It has a pancake shadowline cheekpiece, fine checkering on nice wood, with a silvers type pad. LOP is 14 1/2. It has a single rear sight that flips from wide to fine notch on a quarter rib and a nice ramp front sight with gold bead. I haven't weighed it but it is light and handles well. Now I have two new double rifles to shoot for the first time! I must try to get to the range.
Art S. - The Gasparini you refer to is a different company. They made some of the shotguns marketed under the "Richland Arms" name and are just as you described. Gasparini Aldo was a good, very small maker, but not the "Holland & Holland" of Italy by any means.
