Chapuis 470 Big Bang without Big Bucks
Have 4 British DR's in small and medium (375) calibre and always wanted a true BIG BORE. Well I just purchased a new Chapuis Safari PH2 (at $3500 below retail) that Iam extremely pleased with. It is nicely built and engraved and shoots like a laser guided weapon!!! A great way to get all the fun of a Big Bore without taking out a second mortgage. I think the Buffalo (M'Bogo) engraved on the bottom of the receiver spoke to me and said "I wait for you in Africa"

How's it handle as compared to your Brits?

Lo do they call to me,
They bid me take my place
among them in the Halls of Valhalla,
Where the brave may live forever.

475- It handles very well but you cannot compare with Brits I have since they are smaller lighter calibers, But the gun has 24" barrels and is well balanced but a little barrel heavy as it should be. Perfect weight....10lb 8oz anything less is a gun no fun to shoot. I really like this gun it doesn't have snob appeal but like a French woman ...very elegent

I have found that if you hold a French woman very close to you they feel just right.
