AnjinJack Lott's .500 NE Watson Bros.
Cal, I will try to find my copy of Jack Lott's "Big Bore Rifles," which might have some photos or other info on your .500 Watson. I know I have it around here somewhere.

... The gun appears to be a Webley screw grip..
I think not a Webley Screw Grip but a Leonard action just as a Jeffery double.
Anybody sure?
Super nice gun Cal.

Bill CooleyCal, I look forward to seeing you in Dallas. You could cut that 600 back to 16” and have a real Alaskan brush gun.
I agree with you most are just used guns. The only instance that I have felt a profound feeling for was the chance to handle and examine Elmer Keith’s number 5 revolver that was the proto type for the 44 mag. I enjoyed just holding it and feeling the history. I was angling to get a chance to shoot it and take some pictures but that didn’t work out.

Chris E NelsonCAL- Don't know if you know this but the man who owned your Watson 500 and sold it to Jack lives just down the road from me. I bought his Westley 375/270 two barrels double CHRIS

N E 450 No2I must have been off hunting when this post first came out.
That is an Excellent double rifle.
Also my 450/400 3 1/4" has sights to 400 yards. I have shot it a bit at 200 and 300 yards and it is spot on.
My 450 No2 has sights to 400 yards. I have shot it a lot to 200 yards and it is spot on there as well.
