500 NE 300 gr bullets

Does anyone sell or can custom make 300 grain bullets for a 500 NE? I have a friend that wants to shoot boar but does not want to use
cast bullets.

Hawk will do custom bullets, and they list a 300 gn for the S&W, so I'm sure they could do one for the NE as well. You could paper patch any S&W bullets (.500) up to the diameter of the NE as well (.510) and avoid the custom charges.

Hog Killer

If he realy want's to shoot pigs with a 500NE, then what is wrong withthe 570gr standard load? Anything less and it is just a sham. Might as well use a 50-70 Gov't.

N E 450 No2

I have used Hawk bullets in my 9,3x74R and my 450/400 for deer and pigs. They have performed excellent when you are shooting deer sized game with an elephant rifle.

Which is a great thing to do, to get practice with your big rifle. [Double or other wise].
