Question for Webley & Son . 500

Hi, I`m Jorge from Argentina, and I have three double rifles: a Heym 88B . 470 NE, a Manton & Co .360 Nro. 2 NE, and a Merkel 140 .416 Rigby.
Recently, an old man want to sell his double rifle, a Webley & Son .500 manufactured ca. 1895-1900, but I have the doubt if this rifle can shoot .500 Nitro Exprees ammo, because the gun don`t have any Nitro proof marks. Oviusly the price can`t be the same if the rifle is a .500 BPE...

No nitro proofs? DON'T shoot nitro loads in it.
BPE doubles in .500 will weigh about 8 1/2 pounds.
the price of bpe doubles here in the states begin at 5-6,000 USD and up. PM me as I have all the loading data you need for a bpe rifle, or nitro for that matter.

The man want $13.000, and I think that the price is good for a british Nitro Express, but for a BPE...
Cal: the rifle don't have any NE proof, that means I can't shoot NE loads? In those years, 1895-1900, Webley & Son made rifles for back powder?

Take good quality pictures of the proof marks and post them. That era was a transition with both nitro and BPE rifles made.

I need to see a pic of the rifle to determine if it worth 13K USD.
It is not nitro and the pressures of full nitro loads will be unsafe in this rifle.
Nitro British vintage rifles will be 30K and up.
Webley made black powder and later nitro rifles and shotguns.
