577/600 ne on a shotgun

Wanting to know if you could build a sxs 577 Nitro or 600 Nitro on a ithaca hammerless crass 10 ga frame but still keep the shotgun barrels for .dual purpose? Its in great shape

I'm with my pal Mike on this one. Shotgun actions are not made to stand the torque, pressure, or anything else a full-house .577 or .600 produces. Of course, you can always down-load the bog bores but what's the point. If one wants to shoot a lighter load, then buy a smaller rifle. I had seen many .600s made on shotgun actions for sale in the states when I was researching my book on the .600s and did not put them in the book for safety reasons. Contact Butch Searcy. He has the knowledge to do the job right and can recommend how to proceed.
