Cast bullets for 450-400 NE w/.410 bore
Where can I get some inexpensive cast bullets for a 450-400 with a .410 bore and what powders/loads are you using? Thanks

So you probably want some .412" dia. bullets. How fast do you want to push them and what approximate weight?

Here's a guy that I have used before with excellent results. He can and will size to your needs, just ask! I'd try .411 or .412 for your's.

N E 450 No2
In my 450/400 3 1/4" using 300gr cast bullets I load 44gr of IMR 4198 with 12 grains of poly filler.
Velocity around 1700fps. Regulates and hits to the sights at 50 yards.

This is a Nitro for Black equivelent load.

Would be safe in a 450/400 3" gun as well. Adust up or down for best grouping/regulating in your double.

Bullshop is a good guy. Also might try "Ranger Rick".

How many do you need?

I also utilized 44 grains of 4198 and a 260 grain Mt. Baldy lead projectile in a little Rigby hammer gun I had. Gave me excellent accuracy (3/4 at 50 yards, 1.3 at 100). Just purchased a 450-400 3 1/4 Cogswell and Harrison boxlock that is coming with mold, brass, and dies. Will let you know how it shoots with the 44 grain 4198 load when I receive it.
