Sabatti Trouble
Got my 45-70 the other day and was going to the range today to bust some caps... After reading the manual I put it together slid some snap caps {A-Zoom}in pulled her up for a little show and tell ... The front trigger worked but the rear wouldn't .. Looked at the manual again took the gun apart and put it back together with the same results...
Is there something I missed or is there a trick I need to perform to get the rear trigger to cock and discharge..
It's the weekend so I'm not going to get any help for USSG..
Need a Life Line....

You are not missing anything; if the safety of off and the hammers are cocked, both barrels should fire without the operator doing anything. Try it without the snap caps just to be sure; then Take it back.

The firing pin on the rear trigger is not cocking and is protruding..Is it because it's new an tight ..This piece is real tight ..The lever is 3/4 returned when closed...

3/4 is fine on a new gun.

The best guns, H&H etc also do this until the gun "wears in".

dpcd, Hopefully the operator has to pull the triggers before the gun goes off!

Oh, yeah, except pulling the trigger.
Firing pin not cocking; that is bad. Make sure you are opening it up completely; these are usually fitted tightly.
Rear trigger is not setting; hammer is not cocking? Easy fix (stone the hammer notch, but you should not have to do that. Make sure it is opening up all the way, ie, barrels down completely.
