MatabeleBuilding, Actions
Hi all,
I have Ellis Brown's book Building DRs on shotgun actions but I was wondering if there are any resources out there about building actions from scratch?
Any info appreciated thanks!

Bailey BradshawNot specific information as in a step by step how to. If you know metalworking and machining however, you can reverse engineer them pretty easily. That doesn't mean they arent a lot of work.
There are companies that sell rough components that get you to the hand filing stage. Effebi in Italy is one. I've bought several sets of shotgun tubes from them. Good to do business with and the product was very good.

MatabeleThanks for the info Bailey, appreciate it! I have emailed Effebiso will see what they come back with. I didnt see anything on their website specific to actions although I did see the barrels they offer. Can you suggest any other companies to try for rough action components?
