BigFiveJackWhich Builders Today Can....?
JPK has a 375 Belted mag by FAMARS weighing 8.5 pounds.
It's a sidelock and a fine rifle all around. Who can build a
12K - 16K boxlock in 375
Flanged Mag at that same approx-
imate weight, [over 8 but under 9 pounds]?

new_guyJack - I got a new 88B 375 (Belted) in last week. It had 25" bbls, and it weighed in at 8lb 8oz unloaded.
It's built on the second smallest of 4 frame sizes.

BigFiveJackChris,
Those proportions seem ideal!
Is the
FLANGED 375 Mag an option?

new_guyYour choice: flanged or belted.

JPKJack,
There's your rifle! Claw mounts and a good scope and you are set for everything. I actually prefer the 375H&H Rimless Belted for this purpose, it is universally available and can handle the entire spectrum of game, anywhere in the world. But if your heart is set on the flanged, this seems ideal.
Cris,
What is the ask on one of these?
Best to both of you,
JPK

Jim ManionI have a Heym 88B in 9.3 x 74, and it is superb! Got it from Chris Kringle Sells.
Ejectors, cocking indicators, a front set trigger, factory installed claw mounts. Balance and fit are just about perfect.
