Savage99Re: Warm Clothing
Everything counts in keeping warm. One of the big losses in heat is from our heads. Shop for a warm insulated hat. When the wind chill gets really bad a coat with a hood over the hat seems like something your glad you thought of.
Another thing to try is a knapsack to hold extra clothing when you hike in. Put a thermos or two of hot soup and maybe coffee in there. Sometimes there is nothing to shoot at but the warm soup will always be there.
The other thing is really warm boots. The Rockies I have now with 1000 grams are warm. So are the old Sorrels. Somebody will top this for sure. You have come to the right place.
