Overpasses on the interstate system have 13.5' clearance .But there are places that don't have that much ! He may also tow that trailer occassionaly and forgot to look !

Looks like somebody could of gotten hurt in that. It looks like the canopy collapsed partially onto the trucks cab.

Perfect example of why most people should not be behind the wheel of a vechicle. My dad use to have a saying of "if you can't park it you don't need to be driving it" meaning if you could not put the thing wherever it needed to go at the end of the day stay away from it.
I grew up on a farm and that saying applied to everything from trucks to tractors to combines.

I bet that poor guy about crapped on himself.

Poor guy! Not so much because he totalled his trailer and truck, but because his wife is never going to let him forget about it!

And it doesn't help that a week or so after it appened it is all over the internet.
