A priest and an Australian shearer
A priest and an Australian shearer are in the last round of the TV competition. The score is a draw. They have to make a poem within 5 minutes with the rhyme of the word „TIMBUKTU“ (it’s the capital of an African coutry) which will decide the winner:
After 5 minutes the priest performed:
I was a father all my life,
I had no children, had no wife,
I read the bible through and through
on my way to Timbuktu.
The audience applaud, and he was considered to be the winner, but only until the shearer performed:
When Tim and I to Brisbane went,
we met three ladies cheap to rent.
They were three and we were two,
so I booked one and Tim booked two.
